Industrial Horizontal Compressors
When the pressures and capacities of an application are beyond the capabilities of a vertical compressor, Corken’s horizontal compressor is the next option. These versatile compressors are available in single and triple packed designs. Other options include single- or two-stage compression, lubricated or non lubricated compression, and single or double-acting compression.
Single packed horizontal compressors are commonly utilized in propane, butane, and similar applications where oil-free gas and leakage containment are not critical. When an application is located in a confined space with poor ventilation, or and oil-free compression is necessary, a triple packed (T-Style) compressor is recommended.
Corken offers standard compressor mountings designed for liquefied gas transfer, vapor recovery, and gas booster applications. If one of these do not meet the requirements of the application, a custom engineered, package can be supplied.
Single Packed Reciprocating Compressors (Non Oil-Free)
Single packed compressors have one set of packing per piston rod and are typically used in non-toxic applications where oil-free gas and leakage containment are not critical.

Piston Displacement: | up to 414 cfm (704 m3/hr) |
Working pressure: | up to 1,650 psi (113.8 bar g) |
Brake Horsepower: | up to 75 hp (55.9 kW) |
Maximum Outlet Temperature: | 350°F (177°C) |
Triple Packed Reciprocating Compressors (Oil-Free)
T-Style horizontal compressors have three sets of segmented packing per piston rod and offer oil-free compression and maximum leakage control. Ideal for confined spaces with poor ventilation or when oil-free compression is mandatory.
